Who is Your Audience?

What Are You Writing? What you write depends on what the client wants and/or something you enjoy writing. How you write it, whether you are writing about gardens, real estate, parenting, violence or religion depends largely on who you think you are writing for. Whenever you sit down to write you should be thinking about your audience; the kind of reader that you want and the kind of reader that you are likely to get. Who Are You Writing For? If you are writing an article on the Bible for instance then your style and the stance you take will depend on whether you are writing it for

Writing and Organization

How Do You Structure Your Day? Organization is not really my strong point I suppose that when it comes to writing and organization what I really have is organized chaos. One of the problems is something that most freelancers and wahms face; because you are at home people think that they can just drop by or they will ask you to do them a favor. Time to Write

If you want to be a writer then the first thing you should be doing is making time to write. Writing is a craft and like any other craft it needs honing. When I search the forums and the sites where writers bid for work it seems that many of the people there have not bothered to learn how to write a sentence or how to spell. They offer their services at a rate far below that of most freelancers because they see freelance writing as an easy way of making money. I love freelancing but there is no denying that if you are going to do it properly it is hard work.

Unless you work at your writing it won't be worth reading, readers soon know if a writer has no interest in what they are doing because they fail to pick up on their own mistakes. Reading badly written copy full of spelling and grammar mistakes is a pain. If you want to write then you should be prepared to check that your writing is the best that you can make it.
