Write at Home
Writing at Home
If you are a mother who needs to work but has trouble finding adequate child care then why not try writing at home. If you can do basic research, have a wide range of interests and write good English then you can make a living working from home. There are some content sites which pay writers $5 for 4-500 word articles, if you are a fast typist it is possible to get ten done in a day, more if you're really fast - that's at least $250 working five days a week and choosing your own hours.
Many writers will also bid for work on sites such as Guru and Elance. Some of these jobs are really badly paid but it is possible to find some clients who are willing to pay a reasonable rate for your articles. Give it a try, it's what I and a number of others that I know do.
You Can Get Paid for Writing Articles
If you keep a blog then you are used to writing articles. Perhaps you have some expertise in a certain area if so then why not get paid for it.
There are sites such as review stream which will pay a small amount for reviews of books, places and products but you have to work hard to reach pay out. There are other sites like constant content where you can make as much as forty dollars for one article and the payout threshold is only $50. Give it a try if you are trying to break into freelance writing.
Blogs and Page Ranking
Once we start learning about search engine optimization then it is time to think about page ranking. The higher a blog or website's page rank then the more adsense money it will get from Google. One way of improving the page rank of your blog or website is to link to other pages within your site like this and to link to pages outside with a higher page rank than the one you have, like this. Another thing that you should do is when you comment on other people's blogs is to put a link back to your own site. This is especially helpful if the website has a higher page rank than yours.
Freelance Writing Blues
You've got the freelance writing blues when you start a project and you can't seem to get your head around it. You know it has to be done, and be done by a certain time, but you keep finding other things to do. The only way forward when this happens is to set yourself a time when you will make a start.
Small Steps
Don't plan on writing a complete article, set a timer for fifteen minutes and write for that time. Sometimes you will find that just that small step will get you into the flow of the project - if it doesn't then keep taking further small steps until you get past the prohect block.
