A Bit Like Monty Python's Flying Circus

And Now For Something Completely Different

Well, my life does sometimes resemble the famous show, if only for its complete randomness at times.
As you'll see if you look at my life generally. Yesterday I posted something on here that should actually have gone to my creative writing blog.

And then I got the surprise of my life. A couple of weeks ago on Fictionwise I interviewed author Patricia Guthrie's new book "In the Arms of the Enemy" and then yesterday she offered to host me on her blog with regard to my (not quite finished) thriller "Two Women a Week". I nearly fell off my laptop As a work at home mother my world is filled with freelance writing and research, only my bits of spare time go into creative stuff. Anyway, if you feel like reading something completely different to my usual ramblings then take a look here.

Writing Feel Good Factor

You can get really excited over the simplest things. Writing can sometimes get you down because you tend to wonder whether anyone is reading what you wrote - writing can also give you a real feel good factor when you least expect it. What a Difference a Day Makes

Yesterday I was quite miserable and concerned about getting back on top of my writing. Between family troubles and health problems I have had a hard time maintaining my usual work schedule and this is a key factor in making a living as a freelance writer. The fact of the matter is that a writer writes and when they are not writing, or are only getting bits and pieces done then often the result is sheer misery.

Some time ago I wrote a post on what people might do if they could no longer write. For most writers this idea is hell to entertain as writing is so much a part of who they are as a person. So today I have again discovered how much I need to write in order to survive; not just financially but in most areas of my life.
