The Alpha and Omega of An Article

    Best Beginnings

I was writing something about beginnings on another site and that sparked this article. Are you struggling with an introduction? With any piece of writing it is the beginning where you draw your reader in. When you are writing an article try to give your reader something you think they might want or tell them what you are going to do for them - it's what all the ad men do after all they have a hook which they use to arouse people's interest in what they are trying to sell. Once you have your reader's attention you can then give them the meat in the body of the article.

    Fine Finales

Always try to finish off your article. I know that I am sometimes guilty of not paying enough attention to the end of an article but it should have a proper ending. Occasionally I will go back to the beginning and adjust it so that it has a better fit with the content that it is introducing. What do you do?
