    Writing and Research

Writing and research go hand in hand. If you want to write fresh, unique content for your clients then you should research the subject that you are writing on. Research is essential for writers no matter what kind of writing they are doing. If you blog then you will need to be able to write content that will hold your reader's attention. Novelists as well as factual writers need to do their research. You should research the type of characters you write about. If you write historical novels then historical research is part of the job. Writing thrillers requires research into how the police and the justice system works as well as how the criminal mind works.

Sometimes writers need to interview people and then write about them. If, like me one of your hats is as a contract researcher then interviewing, analysing and reporting the results are an integral part of the process. I write for the web and I write for pleasure and for academic audiences, businesses, education and the voluntary sector. If you want to check out my research then look here. Researchers have to be writers as well, and I know this because I work across both disciplines. Whether you have a writing project or a research project that you want to outsource then email me here for more information.
